CatholicMatch.com has been connecting single people since 1999.
I like the nice but simple design of the website, but most importantly my searches turned up hundreds of personals ads from the database.
This is important because the first thing you want to have in a dating service is an abundance of single people.
Creating your profile takes a little more "work" compared to other websites, but I think this is good. Matchmaking is made easier because of all the details that people are encouraged to provide within their profiles.
As I mentioned in the beginning, there are many more websites that you can join to meet single Catholics. But those are two of the better services to use, so I recommend joining one of them.
If you're a bit undecided, I've included some additional comments that might help you choose.
CatholicMatch.com is by far my favorite Catholic singles site. I couldn't find one thing to complain about.
First of all, the design of the site is well done; simple but elegant.
I also found hundreds of single men and women when I performed a few test searches.
Profile set up takes a little more time compared to most dating websites, but that's a good thing because it makes matchmaking easier.
In addition to standard questions such as location, physical attributes and occupation, members are asked for details such as
- What catholic rite do you belong to?
- Are you free to marry in the Catholic Church?
- What are your feelings about long distance relationships?
- Do you have any favorite devotions, prayers and sacramentals?
In addition to creating a profile and adding pictures, you'll have the option of creating a video to attach with your profile.
You'll have all the tools you need when you go to search for singles. You can search by distance from your location, appearance, racial background, faith and lifestyle related details, etc.
You can also meet members offline by attending one of the coordinated events posted on the site (dinners, festivals, weekend getaways, etc).
You have a good chance of finding a partner through the site, but even if you don’t, you’ll likely form some new friendships.
